Bangor ? The paving contractor has been made available this week for the Union Street Bridge project in Bangor. As such, the schedule for closures of Union Street and the on and off-ramps has changed. This is now the latest schedule for this week:
Monday, August 8th: The southbound passing lane will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
Tuesday, August 9th: Crews will be grinding and prepping for paving. The southbound off-ramp will be closed in the evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The northbound on-ramp will be closed from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The northbound off-ramp will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 10th: The southbound off-ramp will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. The northbound on-ramp will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. 15th Street north may be closed for paving if time allows. This street is currently closed and will remain so until the project is complete with street lighting.
Thursday, August 11th: The northbound off-ramp will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Sunset Avenue will be closed. The detour will utilize Autumn Park West while crews pave the end of Sunset Avenue.
Motorists are advised to use caution through the work zones or to seek an alternate route.
