From Public Safety:
State Police say the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Augusta have been shut down in order to a remove a wrecked tractor trailer truck. The truck, hauling U.S. mail to Bangor, overturned on its side at mile 114 about 5:15 this morning. The mail has now been off loaded onto a second truck, which will complete the delivery of the mail to Bangor.
The wrecked truck, which has been blocking one of the two northbound lanes, will now be removed and both lanes have been shut down to accommodate wreckers. Northbound traffic is being diverted at exit 113 in Augusta and detoured on the West River Road to Sidney. Southbound traffic is not affected.
Troopers said the driver of the truck, 29 year old Nzabandora Appolinaire of Springfield, MA, veered off the road onto the shoulder and the truck overturned. The driver suffered minor injuries. He was on his first day of work delivering mail from Springfield to Bangor.
