Overnight Ramp Closures on I-95 in Augusta

The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting overnight closures on the I‑95 Southbound and Northbound Exit 113 ramps in Augusta for curb installation work. On August 11 from 9:00 PM to August 12 at 6:00 AM., the southbound on and off ramps at Exit 113 will be closed. Motorists will need to use Exit 112 southbound. There will be a detour on the east side of Exit 113 northbound directing traffic to use the River Road to the Old Belgrade Road to reach points west of I-95. Traffic wishing to travel east on Route 3 from the west will also be rerouted via Old Belgrade Road to West River Road where they can enter I-95 Northbound at Exit 113.

On August 12 from 9:00 PM to August 13 at 6:00 AM and August 13 from 9:00 PM to August 14 at 6:00 AM., the northbound on and off ramps at Exit 113 will be closed. Motorists will need to use Exit 112A or 112B northbound. There will be a detour on the east side of Exit 113 northbound directing traffic to use the River Road to the Old Belgrade Road to reach points west of I-95. Traffic wishing to travel east on Route 3 from the west will also be rerouted via Old Belgrade Road to West River Road where they can enter I-95 northbound at Exit 112.

Both roundabouts at Exit 113 will be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles en route to the hospital. This work is weather dependent, and any adverse conditions may postpone the closures and detours to the following night.

The contractor on this project is Pike Industries. The contract amount is $ 12,230,754.10.
