 MaineDOT to Perform Roadway Construction in Cape Elizabeth

Drivers should plan for delays due to one-way alternating traffic.

 CAPE ELIZABETH– April 29, 2026 — Starting on May 4, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) will begin work on a cyclical pavement resurfacing project with drainage improvements in Cape Elizabeth.

Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic during the project. 

Signs will be up to inform the public of the project work.

Flaggers will be on site to direct motorists through the project area. 

The project area begins at the intersection of Old Ocean House Road and Route 77 and ends at the intersection of Route 77 and Spurwink Avenue.

Work is expected to be completed by July 2026.

The contractor on this project is Shaw Brothers of Gorham, Maine

The contract amount is $996,937.00.
