MaineDOT Announces Little Tomah Bridge Culvert Replacement Project

on Route 6 in Codyville

Drivers should plan for lane closures and detours on Little Tomah Bridge throughout 2026.

Codyville – Dec. 30, 2025 — Starting on January 6, 2026, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) will be conducting the replacement of a corrugated steel structural plate pipe arch on the Little Tomah Bridge over Little Tomah Stream on Route 6 in Codyville with a single span bridge.

Drivers should expect daytime lane closures controlled by flaggers or temporary traffic signals during the first phase until February 2026.

During the second phase, which is from May 2026 to October 2026, there will be a one-lane detour which will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

The anticipated end date for this project is Fall 2026. The contractor for this project is CPM Constructors of Freeport, and the construction contract amount is $3,637,000.
