Fairfield ? Due to the heavy rains and deteriorating surface pavement, crews will be performing patch repair on several large potholes that have opened up in the northbound travel lane on I-95 over the Route 201 bridge in Fairfield.
Maine State Police will be onsite to block the northbound interstate beginning at 9:00 p.m. for several ten minute closures. After each closure, the troopers will reopen the northbound lanes and allow traffic to clear before closing it again until all repairs are complete.
During these closures, crews will clean the potholes, heat them and apply a product called Perma-Patch to fill the holes.
Motorists should expect delays until all repairs are completed.
