A project to resurface a portion of Odlin Road between I-395 and Ammo Park in Bangor will begin on Monday, August 19th. This work will include rehabilitating the existing gravel shoulders, grinding existing pavement and placing new surface pavement on the roadway, and replacing the deteriorated railroad crossing near Perry Road.
Work on the railroad crossing will take place on August 27th and 28th. During this work Odlin Road will have to be closed in order for the Pan Am Railroad to replace their tracks across Odlin just south of Perry Road. It is anticipated that this work will take two days to complete and that traffic will be detoured around the work site. Businesses and visitors should expect traffic delays during construction.
Traffic wishing to traverse Odlin Road entering from Routes 2/100, Odlin Road North, and I-395 to points beyond the closed section at the tracks would be encouraged to use Route 2/100 westerly to Coldbrook Road in Hermon and then use the Coldbrook road to the west end of the Odlin Road.
Traffic that has entered Odlin Road from the north end will have to use the Perry Road to get around the closure. Once on Perry Road they would be directed to use the McCaw Road to Route 202, and then the Coldbrook Road to the west end of the Odlin Road.
Traffic wishing to use the Odlin Road from the westerly end would be warned of the closure at the tracks and encouraged to use I- 95 or Routes 2/100 to get around the closure.
