Optional HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment Training for Providers attending MaineCare Delivery System Reform (DSR) Regional Forums
You have the opportunity to attend an optional, in-person HIV Prevention Training at the Brewer and Portland forum locations for the following providers who will attend the forums:
- Accountable Communities
- Behavioral Health Home (BHH)
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs)
- Community Care Team (CCT)
- Housing Outreach and Member Engagement (HOME)
- MaineMOM
- Opioid Health Home (OHH)
- Primary Care Plus (PCPlus)
The Office of MaineCare Services and Maine Center for Disease Control coordinate this training.
These one-hour interactive sessions target both MaineCare physical and behavioral healthcare providers. This training highlights the syndemic approach, which covers HIV transmission, prevention, treatment, and stigma reductions guidelines. Participants will learn how to integrate standards in HIV prevention and care into client-centric care planning, including facilitating HIV testing and access to HIV care.
