Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Trainings and Forums

The EVV requirement deadline for Personal Care Services (PCS) was January 1, 2021 and will be January 1, 2023 for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 and for Hospice Services providers delivering services under Section 43.

We are offering provider and aggregator trainings online via Microsoft Teams. The trainings are designed to help providers and aggregators to comply with federal EVV requirements.

Training Topics

Training topics include, but are not be limited to:

• Accessing the Sandata EVV portal via the Health PAS Online Portal
• Performing EVV administrative functions such as creating and editing information for employees who will use the system
• Navigating through the Sandata EVV system
• Entering and editing visit records
• Recording visit data using other devices
• Accessing and reviewing reports 
• Avoiding EVV visit exceptions

Introduction to EVV for Stakeholders

In addition to the trainings and forums offered below, we are also holding an “Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Introduction to Phase 2 (Home Health and Hospice)” session on May 3, 2022, 1 pm to 2 pm. This is a high-level overview of EVV for stakeholders, that including EVV federal requirements and the technology changes that Home Health and Hospice service providers must implement.

EVV Training

EVV training topics include, but are not limited to:

Provider and Aggregator Forums

The forums are meetings for providers and third-party vendors where you can ask the State, Gainwell, and Sandata EVV-related questions. Please send us your questions ahead of time so that we can prepare an answer. Please email your questions to the EVV email box.
