Integrating Care for Perinatal Populations with Opioid Use Disorder Online Webinar

Please join us for a virtual information session about a new MaineCare service called MaineMOM. MaineMOM is a team-based and integrated model of health care connecting perinatal services and substance use treatment for pregnant and postpartum people. This information session will focus on proposed MaineMOM services, provider qualifications, and reimbursement.

The information session will be held via Zoom, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. To attend this session, please register in advance.

We began piloting MaineMOM services in July 2021 through 16 contracted healthcare practices to inform the development of the service. This effort is supported by a five-year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that provides 100 percent federal funding for activities related to planning and implementation of the model, which will then transition to a Medicaid-covered service under the MaineCare program. The final rule proposal to make this transition will be shared through MaineCare rulemaking, with anticipated implementation in summer 2022. See the MaineMOM webpage for more information about this initiative. For information on how to refer potentially eligible individuals to pilot sites, please visit: MaineMOM.org.

If you require accommodations to participate in the online webinar such as sign language or other language interpretation, or have questions, please contact MaineMOM@maine.gov.
