Attention Providers of Section 65, Crisis Residential and Resolution Services: Draft Rate Model Public Review and Comment
Nov 16, 2022
Earlier this fall MaineCare conducted a survey of Section 65 Crisis Residential and Resolution Services providers. We used the provider responses, in addition to other information, to create draft rate models for the services as part of the rate determination process. We outlined this process during our kick-off meeting with providers on May 12, 2022. This message outlines the next steps in the process related to draft rate models for the current Crisis Residential and Resolution services. Work related to broader crisis reform is ongoing and will not be part of this presentation. Crisis system reform work will be presented in a separate forum in the coming months.
PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT
MaineCare is holding an online public meeting on November 22, 2022, to present draft rate models along with the rationales for the recommended models. The models will be posted online, and the Department’s vendor, Burns and Associates, will accept written comments until December 9, 2022. The Department will respond in writing to comments with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determination.
As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in these meetings as we discuss the draft rate model recommendations and collect feedback on these important changes.
Please contact Bryan Lumbra, MaineCare’s Rate Setting Project Manager, with any questions related to this determination process.
