Telehealth (Virtual) Visits

Did you know?

MaineCare covers many telehealth visits. Telehealth lets you see a health care provider by phone or video instead of going to the office. This can help if it is hard to get to an in-person appointment.

Telehealth may also be an option for your child’s health care. Ask your provider if a virtual visit is right for you.

How do I ask for a telehealth appointment?

  1. Call your provider and ask if telehealth is available.
  2. Your provider will tell you if telehealth is a good option and explain how to get ready for your visit.

Many telehealth visits can be done using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access. To learn more about telehealth, visit this Telehealth Webpage.
