You may have heard that Modivcare, one of MaineCare’s non-emergency transportation brokers, has recently filed for bankruptcy. We want to assure you that members can still rely on Modivcare for both getting direct rides and providing mileage reimbursement to get to your appointments.
Not sure if you use Modivcare or one of our other brokers?
You can check the Transportation Broker List on our website to find out which broker serves your county.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Transportation is still available, and members will continue to receive rides to their appointments. Mileage reimbursement is also still available.
- Services will continue statewide, in all regions.
- Rides that you have already scheduled will take place as planned.
- Nothing has changed. Use the same phone numbers and processes you normally use to schedule rides or request reimbursement. You can find instructions and other helpful information on our MaineCare website.
MaineCare and our transportation partners are working together to make sure your service continues without any disruption. Your access to care is our priority, and we are committed to making sure you can continue to get where you need to go.
