The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has told all states that November SNAP benefits cannot be issued right now because of the federal government shutdown.
MaineCare is not affected by the shutdown. MaineCare members don’t need to do anything differently. Keep getting your care as usual. The Office of MaineCare Services is running normally. If anything changes, we’ll let you know.
Can I still use the SNAP benefits already on my EBT card?
Yes. Any benefits already on your card are still available and can be used to buy food.
Where can I find help with food or other resources while waiting for SNAP benefits?
