Substance use treatment for adolescents is provided by licensed clinicians in outpatient or residential settings. The purpose is to intervene early in a youth's development, to help the youth build skills to manage their emotional, psychological, and psychiatric needs in a healthy way that replaces the use of substances.
The following agencies have programs specifically tailored to substance use by adolescents, funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHS):
