Impaired Waters and General Water Quality Reports

The Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment Report (including 305b and 303d)

The impaired waters list ("303d list") is now combined with the broader "305b" water quality assessment report to fulfill reporting requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency (U.S.E.P.A.) and the Maine State Legislature.

TMDLs

  • TMDLs approved by EPA   
  • MAP 1 depicts the statewide distribution of 303(d) listed Maine phosphorus-based TMDL lakes (n = 31) within major drainage systems, classified by temporal groupings (Past EPA approved A & B, Current and Future studies). MAP 2 is a subset of MAP 1, and depicts the 21 (68%) phosphorus-based TMDL lakes which occurr in south-central Maine, including their names.
