Attention Providers of Sections 13, 17, 28, 65, 92 Draft Rate Model(s) Public Comment Period

Earlier this year MaineCare conducted a survey of Behavioral Health and Other Services providers. We used the provider responses to create and draft rate models for the services as part of the rate determination process. We outlined this process in a bulletin on April 22, 2022. [KP1] This message outlines the next step in the process.

PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT

MaineCare held online public meetings last week to present draft rate models for three service groupings, along with the rationales for the recommended models. The models, presented materials, and meeting recording(s) have been posted online, and the Department and its vendor will accept written comments until October 14, 2022. The Department will respond in writing to comments with an explanation of whether and how the feedback was incorporated into the final rate determinations.

As providers and interested stakeholders, your feedback is important during the rate determination process. We encourage you to participate in the public comment process on these important upcoming changes.
