Bucksport Mill, LLC

AIM Development USA (AIM) (Bucksport Mill LLC) is seeking to demolish portions of the former Verso Paper Mill located at 2 River Road (Route 15) in Bucksport, Maine. This site was primarily operated as a pulp and paper mill from the 1920’s until recently.

This site consists of a 123 acre parcel currently developed as a pulp and paper manufacturing facility with associated support facilities. Site development consists of: a paper production facility; a power plant which includes several boilers and turbines; warehouse and storage areas; a marine petroleum terminal; a process water treatment facility; and a wood yard.

This demolition proposes to remove structures that are not associated with power generation or wharf/warehouse and process water treatment. A Natural resources Protection Act (NRPA) Permit by Rule form is being submitted concurrently with this Site Location of Development Act Application for demolition related work occurring adjacent to the Penobscot River and an unnamed stream located at the eastern boundary of the site.
