Ellsworth Hydroelectric Project
On June 18, 2025, Black Bear Hydro Partners LLC submitted an application for a Water Quality Certification pursuant to Section 401 of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. §§ 1341 et. seq. for the federal relicensing and continued operation of the Ellsworth Hydroelectric Project (Project). Federal regulations require the Department to act on this application within one-year, by June 17, 2026.
