Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Overview

Client technologies fulfil all requests for virtual desktops hosted in the cloud as a service.

  • This service is provided to all subscribers of AVD services.
  • Agencies pay a monthly BundleV subscription per user assigned to AVD services. Costs can be viewed at the following link: Service Rates | Maine IT
  • Users’ monthly consumption costs are billed to the agency. This is a variable charge based on time connected and resource usage.

  • Access to a virtual desktop
  • Service Desk support
  • Design and build services

Excluded

  • Per-user G3/G5 licensing (required)
  • Additional software licensing
  • Physical computers to connect to AVD

Service Level Targets & Availability

  • Agencies pay a monthly subscription per assigned user to access 24/7 support

  • Provide an accurate description of expected use
  • Provide a physical device to connect to AVD

Are there limitations to the services provided?

  • Client Technology is not responsible for data on the customer’s virtual device. OIT has provided the customers with online and network storage sufficient to store all work-related documents. Data stored locally is at the customer’s own risk.
  • From AVD, each user can only access the specific State of Maine resources (servers, applications, etc.) they have been assigned.
