Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) provides centralized support for acquiring, developing, integrating, securing, and managing applications and vendor‑provided technologies across Maine state agencies. ESS ensures all technology solutions follow statewide standards, meet business needs, and comply with CIO authority.
Core Functions
Application Development
ESS plans, designs, builds, integrates, tests, deploys, and maintains custom applications, working with agencies to define requirements, improve business processes, and ensure secure, reliable solutions.
Vendor Technology Oversight
ESS reviews, approves, and oversees all vendor‑supplied applications and technology, ensuring solutions meet architectural, security, procurement, and policy requirements throughout the lifecycle.
