Attention Behavioral Health Providers: Sign up for the New Service Locator Tool Webinar

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is excited to announce the creation of a Service Locator Tool through vendor Bamboo Health that will improve how Maine residents access substance use and mental health treatment. Once implemented in Maine, the tool will be available through the following link: TreatmentConnection.com. Individuals, families or providers seeking behavioral health services and recovery supports will be able to use this site to search for appropriate, available, nearby providers, review the type of care available, and submit inquiries about treatment to a network of trusted healthcare providers based on their unique healthcare needs.

Treatment providers can sign up to list their organization’s service(s) on the Treatment Connection public-facing portal, so the services are visible to people searching for assistance in coping with mental health or substance use problems. Providers who receive inquiries about their services may respond through the individual's email and/or call the individual based upon preferences the individual has submitted . DHHS vets all treatment providers for appropriate licensure and certification.

To learn more about this tool and how to access the platform as a provider, we encourage you to attend an orientation event listed below. DHHS is sponsoring behavioral health providers’ participation in the new service locator tool, which means there is NO COST to your agency to participate in this initiative.

We rely on your collaboration and commitment to implement this tool and improve access to care for Maine residents with mental health and substance use disorder needs. You are invited to participate in any orientation session listed below; all sessions are identical. Please share this invitation with other interested behavioral health organizations who may wish to onboard.

For more information, including if you are not a behavioral health provider but want to learn more, please reach out to Allison Weeks.
