Maine DEP - Land Applications and Permits

The Maine DEP Permits table is posted in real time. It is sortable and identifies applications which were recently entered (Date Received) and are currently pending before the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. This table also identifies applications that have been acted upon (Date Accepted) by the Agency or its staff.

Permits are posted in real time and reflect the previous 3 years of activity. Additional information concerning these applications may be obtained by clicking on the following link: Land Contacts, Maine DEP.

Any person may request application materials or submit comments on an application after the application has been accepted (“Date Accepted”) and before the Department has issued a decision (“Conclusion Date”).

Any person aggrieved by a Department decision may appeal the decision within 30 calendar days of the date the decision is issued (“Conclusion Date”).

NOTE: This table might take up to 30 seconds to initially load due to its large size.

NOTE on application “status”: The term “explicitly accepted” means a PBR notification has been reviewed by the Department and has been determined to meet the standards of the Department’s Ch. 305 rules. The term “implicitly accepted” means that a PBR notification was not reviewed by the Department during the 14-day review period and the applicant may proceed to carry out the activity, pursuant to Ch. 305 § C(1). Regardless of whether the notification is explicitly or implicitly accepted, the activity must meet the eligibility requirements and standards in Ch. 305.
