Recreation Collection

Description of Collection:

McArthur Library offers a wide range of recreational items for you to borrow, in the interest of promoting healthy lifestyles for you and your family. These items are intended to encourage you to try new hobbies, as well as spend time out exploring (whether on snowshoe or by car).

As of March 2016, this collection includes:

  • Binoculars and books on stargazing/bird watching Orion 4.5 Starblast Telescope with Accessory Kit - provided courtesy of Cornerstones of Science

  • Snowshoes and poles (different sizes for men, women and kids) ? seasonally available for loan

  • Zumba Exhilarate Body Shaping System ? DVD Set including body-sculpting Zumba Toning Sticks

  • Fishing pole, rod, line and reel

  • Variety of lawn game sets including volleyball, bocce, ladder golf and croquet

  • American Girl doll kit - includes Marie-Grace, 3 outfits and a journal

Circulation/Access Policy:
Snowshoes circulate for 1 week; other items in Recreation Collection circulate for 3 weeks. Overdue fees are $1.00/day for all items. Items in the recreation collection may not be loaned to other libraries.
