Register for the Voluntary Public Librarian Certification Program

This program is founded on content from the web-based library content platforms WebJunction, but for content beyond the basic certification, we encourage you to review other platforms, including our CE Calendar, or Libraries Learn from the Colorado State Library. Other sites may require you to register. Make sure you record all your login and password information for each platform. This program is available at no cost to you, the learner.

For the Certification Level, please enter Basic, Intermediate or Advanced. Register for the:

• Basic level if you have no formal librarian education
• Intermediate level if you hold the UMA Associates degree
• Advanced level if you hold a Bachelors degree
• Advanced level certification if you hold an MLIS or MLS.

We will contact degreed applicants for verification of degree.

Students are expected to complete all necessary modules or electives within one year of beginning a certification.
