Gary R. Bragg

Gary was a valued and beloved member of the Maine Capitol Police team for decades. He first worked as a Capitol Complex night watchperson before becoming a security screener at the State House in 2012.  Gary waged a courageous battle with cancer, continuing to work through difficult treatments. We lost our friend to the disease in September of 2022. 

A very spiritual and compassionate man, Gary’s absence at the State House is keenly felt. He is also remembered for his friendly manner and sense of humor. He made a positive impact within the Statehouse community. Each time a visitor came in, Gary didn’t hesitate to greet them with a smile and warm words.
