How to Order Maps and Publications from the Maine Geological Survey

• If you know what you want (by publication title and number) you can:

  1. Call 207-287-2801 to place your order.
  • Order by Email
  1. Fill out an order form.
     • Use the Maps and Publications Search to find the publication number.
     • Use the Publications Order Form (fillable PDF) to enter the items. Save the form.
  2. Email the form to: mgs@maine.gov
  • Order by mail
  1. Fill out an order form.
     • Use the Maps and Publications Search to find the publication number.
     • Use the Publications Order Form (PDF) to enter the items. Print the form.
  2. Mail to: Maine Geological Survey, 93 State House Station, Augusta ME 04333-0093.
  • Order by fax
  1. Fill out an order form.
     • Use the Maps and Publications Search to find the publication number.
     • Use the Publications Order Form (PDF 0.5MB) to enter the items. Print the form.
  2. Fax to the Maine Geological Survey at 207-287-2353.

  1. Publications can be ordered at the Survey's sales desk, by appointment, during regular office hours, 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding all State holidays). For directions to the office, see our location map.
  2. Although not required, it will speed your order if you know the publication title and number. See the How to find MGS Maps and Publications instructions for help.
  3. To minimize your waiting time you may call or fax us large orders in advance.
