MSL Online Library Card Registration

You must be be a Maine resident to receive a library card.

Please choose only one of the following:

1. I will use the library card only to access online databases.

2. I will use the library card to check out materials at the State Library and University of Maine system libraries.

3. I will use the library card to both check out materials and access online databases.

If you checked 1, the Borrowing Services department will contact you the next business day and provide you with a database access number. As a reminder, your access number expires after 2 years. You must call Borrowing Services (287-5600) to maintain active status.

If you checked 2 or 3, your card is not useful until you pick it up at the Maine State Library. Cards are not mailed. Please bring an ID with a valid current Maine mailing address.

Your card will be ready for you on the next business day at the Maine State Library.
