Cruikshank, Margaret (1940 - )

Margaret (Peg) Cruikshank was a professor of women's studies and LGBT studies at the University of Maine (retired, 2011) and a faculty associate of the Center on Aging. She is known for her ground breaking work establishing the importance of lesbian studies. She had Fulbright Fellowships in British Columbia and Austria. She previously taught at the City College of San Francisco and was affiliated with The Center for Research on Women at Stanford and the Beatrice Bain Center at UC Berkeley. She previously taught at the City College of San Fransisco. Cruikshank lived in Corea, ME and is now a resident of Scarborough.
