Cash is accepted at the entry booth and self-service payment stations. Only 15 locations, when staff is in the entry booth, accept credit cards. Please be prepared to pay cash.

Except as specially noted below the fee schedules,
Maine residents 65 and older: free;
Children 5 - 11 years old: $1.00; Children under 5 are free.

All Day Use Areas: Day-use fees are per person, per day. Children 5 - 11 years old: $1.00; Children under 5 are free.
**Children under 12 are free at Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site.
***Park Passes do not cover the Observatory. Children 5-11 years old at Fort Knox $2.50; with Observatory Tower $5.00; Maine residents 65 and older at Fort Knox are free; with Observatory Tower $2.50. The Maine State Park Pass does not cover the Observatory.

Maine Senior Citizens - – Residents age 65 and older receive FREE day-use (proof of age is required).

ANNUAL PASSES - DAY USE - please note Use Exceptions below
Vehicle Pass - $105.00 - Allows all the occupants of up to a 17 passenger vehicle to day-use.
Individual Pass - $55.00 - Allows ONLY the individual pass holder free day-use.
Senior Citizen Annual Vehicle Pass (65 and over) - $45.00 - Allows all occupants of up to a 17 passenger vehicle free day-use. (Senior Citizen must always be in the vehicle.) Proof of age is required, and senior must be present to purchase.
Business Vehicle Pass (one-time, day-use) - Sold in blocks of 25 for $250.00. To purchase or for more information, call 207-287-2209.

Purchase a Maine State Park Pass

  1. On-line purchase using your debit or credit card
  2. When you file your State of Maine income tax;
  3. When you visit a park during the summer season;
  4. By calling the Campground Reservations Call Center at: 800-332-1501 for Maine Residents, 207-624-9950 for non-residents, or 207-287-2209, from 9AM to 4PM, Monday-Friday.
  5. By mailing a check or money order to: Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands, Attn.: Reservations Office, 22 SHS, Augusta, ME 04333-0022. Make your check payable to: Treasurer, State of Maine.

GROUP RESERVATION FEES - DAY USE

GROUP EXEMPTION GUIDELINES - DAY USE

Qualified exempt groups (see list below), with prior written approval or with a Group Exemption Pass, shall not be charged a fee.

  1. State of Maine organized group programs for residents of State and Federal institutions (Dorothea Dix & Riverview Psychiatric Centers, and Togus Veteran's Administration)
  2. State of Maine school/education programs during the school year (September through June 30 only - no application needed, contact the park directly.
  3. State of Maine organized group homes/programs for disadvantaged or persons with disabilities.

BOATING & MISCELLANEOUS FEES

Boat Launching Fee - For park access, limited to parking and boat launching, the daily fee for launching trailered boats shall be the posted per person day-use fee or $10 per vehicle, whichever is less. The maximum fee for any trailered boat access shall be $10. - where available.
Songo Lock - $7.50 per boat, per passage. Boats requiring both gates open - special arrangements must be made.
Commercial Bus Tours - $75/bus/trip - where available (reservations required; call the park).
Campground Visitors - Will be admitted by paying the day use fee or using their season passes.
Dumping Station - $20 per unit (day-use customers), where permitted - where available.
