Request for Information: Maine Energy Plan

The Department of Energy Resources has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather public input to inform the next Maine Energy Plan. DOER welcomes public comments regarding the ways in which the energy landscape has changed since the publication of the 2025 Energy Plan, whether and to what extent the original strategies and objectives should be updated, and how the next plan can best serve Maine people and businesses. The full RFI is available to view here (PDF link). Responses are due April 27, 2026 to doer@maine.gov. As an alternative to the RFI, the Department is also seeking public input through a short online survey. Interested individuals or organizations are invited to complete the survey to share input.
