Online Booksales Volunteer
Time Commitment

Duties & Responsibilities
- Sorts through donations and discards
- Uses guidelines and works with a staff member, separates possible collection additions and sale material from non-useable donations
- Determine value of books for online sales by checking Internet sites
- List items for sale on appropriate webites
- Customer service-monitor sale items and answer email questions about the items as they come into the library's mailbox
- Package items that sell and arrange for shipping
- Coordinates efforts with the Friends of the Library for annual book sale
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required
- Must be able to follow directions and guidelines
- Able to work independently and with little supervision
- Some knowledge of libraries, public interests, and reading trends desirable
- Physical ability in keeping with job description
- Experience with computers, email, and the Internet
- Discriminating judgment
