  • Borrow reference materials from the State Library! The State Library keeps in their circulating collection the most up to date reference volumes and sets like those from publishers of Facts of file, Oxford, Cambridge, Gale, Rutledge, ME Sharpe and others. These titles are available for your library to borrow.  Need more resources for your students on Civil Rights, Victorian Life, Award winning scientists, Religion or any other topic you might find an encyclopedia on?  Chances are we have it and you can borrow it.

    The State Library will make sure that the items get to you in time and stay with you as long as your students need them. The State Library's catalog is part of URSUS. You may request items directly or contact by email the reference staff at reference.desk@maine.gov or call 287-5608 to talk about what you need.
