Shelf Reader
Time Commitment
1-2 hours, weekly, 3 month commitment
Purpose
To keep the materials in the library's collection in order.

Duties & Responsibilities
- To read shelves by putting books in Dewey Decimal order, alphabetically by the author's name and/or Dewey Decimal
- Accuracy is needed for this job
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required
- Ability to sort materials in alphabetical and/or Dewey Decimal order (will train)
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to bend to floor level or reach a height of 66 inches
- Ability to read a minimum print size (12 pt)
- Ability to work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- General familiarity with libraries a plus
