Homebound Volunteer
Time Commitment
Visits are done once a month, one client visit takes 30 minutes, excluding travel
Purpose
Volunteer helps homebound patrons access the library's services.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Selects materials based on the request of the patron
- Delivers the library materials to the home of the patron
- Talks with the patron and takes an interest in their lives
- Returns library materials that the patron is finished with
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required
- Must be able and willing to drive their own car to the patron's home
- Must be friendly, outgoing, and willing to meet new and different people
- No prior experience needed; volunteers are assisted until they feel comfortable making visitations on their own
- May require a background check
