Description

Director This is a full time, professional position that leads the strategic development and management of the Learning Resource Centers. The Centers are professionally staffed health libraries whose mission is to improve patient care and community health through evidenced-based wellness, health education, and chronic disease self-management programs and services. The Director will lead the Centers' evolution from bricks and mortar facilities to virtual centers of excellence for patient, provider, and consumer education that differentiate the health system.

The Director is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic, system-wide vision, integrating with internal and external collaborators, budget development and oversight; fundraising (including grant writing), supervision of professional and administrative staff, and advancing key partnerships, marketing and outreach, quality improvement, and program evaluation.

Develop and manage a complex budget; oversee accounting reports; prepare budgets and reports; write persuasively clearly, and cohesively for a variety of audiences; make compelling, articulate presentations to public and professional audiences; and develop and execute overall strategy in concert with system and member plans that results in measurable outcomes.

The position requires a bachelor's degree and seven years' progressive program management experience OR a masters degree and five years' related experience; public/community health and management theory and methods knowledge; and knowledge of health systems. A Certified Health Education Specialist is preferred.
