The museum illustrates 19th century living of a middle class Victorian family in central Maine. The house/museum is also home to the research facilities of the Fairfield Historical Society.
Special exhibits in the 19th century barn include, a General Store, School room, Barber Shop, Antique Tools, Cobblers work area, Sewing room, Bedroom, Lumbering tools, farm implements, and ice cutting tools. Over 4000 Photos, 30 years of newspaper scrapbooks, and a large selection of historic documents and genealogical information.
