This is in honor of my brother who passed away 9 years ago and missed being eligible to become a Legionnaire by a few weeks. He always wished that he could have been a member.

I am thanking my father for his honorable service as a front line defender in Germany, during the Cold War. He set the example for all those serving in Europe during the mid-80's and was a pioneer in aviation fire support techniques. Hoorah! Great job Dad!
He served on a destroyer.
We lost you this year Daddy, but I want to honor your service in the forgotten war, The Korean Conflict. You were there when I was born and it must have been hard to leave a new bride and come home to Mom and a baby. You talked often of those years, especially toward the end and I always wanted to hear about your time there. I know you were proud when Jimmy joined the Army, following in your steps. I don't know if you understood Perry was going to Iraq, but he is there and he often speaks of you. I miss you Daddy and I was, am, and always will be proud of your service in the USA!
I want to thank him for fighting for our country unselfishly for so many years to keep us all safe. I truly respect him and all soldiers and veterans for everything they have done and are still doing for us. No one knows the strength and sorrows these men and women have to endure everyday!
I Love you Papa... Thanks for everything you sacrificed.. We will remember you Always...

He was very patriotic man until the day he died.
As a 19 year old Army soldier, he survived the attack at Pearl Harbor, then was stationed in Alaska where he faced the enemy there. He later served in the Air Force for 29 years. Now at 84 years of age, he is still proud of his military service.
So very proud of you Cher for all you did serving in the U.S. Air Force. We miss you so and will never forget you. Keeping you close to our hearts and honoring you to your children Jake and Lauren that will always love you as their mom.
