Taken from us way too soon.
Taken from us way too soon.
You served in the Army to protect our country and saw a lot for a country boy from Maine. I never hear you complain or regret that you did this. You make me proud to be your daughter.
You were only 18 when the call for service came. By your example many years later your sons did the same. Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace.
Scot is a very devoted man. To the army, to his family, and to his job. He always gives 100% in everything he does. He would do anything for anyone, he has a great sense of humor and always makes us laugh. He is also a wonderful father to our little girl. This is his second tour to Iraq in five years. Although he is always missed and loved, I am very very proud of my soldier. I love you.
Samuel Davis is remembered as the last living Revolutionary War veteran in Standish, as is noted on his grave.
More importantly, Samuel was born on the 4th of July in 1862, making him only a young teenager when he fought to give us freedom.
I am proud to be a descendant of this real Yankee Doodle Dandy!
Very great appreciation for your dedicated service while in the USMC. We are very proud of your achievements.
You never returned from the conflict; you never got to learn why you and the many others were even over there; and you never got the honor that you deserved for staying there when you could have come home. I have missed you since 1966..and now that I am the last in our immediate family alive, I want to put it in writing that I am very proud of you. I will miss you forever.Love, Your Little Sis
My dad proudly served America and I'm honored to call my dad my hero for fighting for our freedom.
Fought in the Argonne Forest and died at Fort McHenry February 14, 1919 from wounds received. He was brought home to be buried.
I am very proud to be your daughter. I am proud that you served your country. I only know some of what you went through. I love you very much.
