World War II - Pacific

Francis C Soares Jr.

My father-in-law is a Veteran of three wars. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. His ship "Tanney" was credited with saving the power plant during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He is a soldier that deserves to be honored!

Francis C Soares III

Frank has served his country for over 20 years. He is a military retiree as well as being active in the veteran community. He was Director of Maine Veteran Services for almost eight years and he was appointed by President Clinton to the Board of Directors of the National Veterans Development Corporation. He is "true soldier" in every sense of the word. I honor him and every American soldier for their service.

Floyd Kenneth Smith

He was the man I remember growng up. He was the most wonderful dad I could ever have. I will always remember him as my hero for fighting World War II. I just wish we could have another chance just to let him know how much gratitude we have for him. We love you and miss you very dearly.

First Lieutenant John Michaud

John H. Michaud was killed while a prisoner of the German Governnent. He was a graduate from the Officer Candidate School at Fort Bening Georgia and assigned to the 424th Infantry Regiment of the 106th Division at Fort Jackson. He has been missed by his family and his wife Sarah. He will always be remembered. I will make sure his story is never forgotten. Love your niece MaryAnn & The Michaud Family & Sarah
