Farmington, ME
I vote in honor and reverence of the country that my granfather fought to protect. He served in WWII, specifically in Okinawa(Japan) on Sugar Hill, he was one of the few survivors. He earned the Bronze Star for his heroic actions. Even though he is deceased, I will forever be thankful for the honor that he showed for my country. In this day, many have not seen the effects of war. I am thankful that my grandfather returned to this country unscathed in body, however, the blood that has been sacrificed by many is not in vain and their blood STILL cries out for liberty, justice and freedom for all. Thank you to those who have sacrificed their loved ones to protect our country.
