Maine EMS Stabilization Program Update

We want to inform you that the application period for the Emergency Medical Services Stabilization Program has concluded.

The historic budget signed into law by Governor Mills on July 11, 2023, included a significant allocation of $12 million, of which $10.15 million has gone to stabilize emergency medical services across the state. We are proud to have facilitated the distribution of these funds, ensuring that residents and visitors to the State of Maine continue to have access to high-quality emergency medical services. Our office continues to process applications received during the Emergency Medical Services Stabilization Program as part of our ongoing commitment to serving the EMS community.

While the Emergency Medical Services Stabilization Program has concluded, we encourage you to stay connected with Maine EMS for the $19 million sustainability funding opportunity to increase support and develop a plan for sustainability, collaboration, and enhancement of efficiency in the delivery of emergency medical services in the State of Maine. Our commitment to supporting these vital services remains steadfast, and we are working with the Maine EMS Board to finalize the rulemaking for this next program.

Please visit our website regularly for updates on upcoming sustainability funding opportunities. Your dedication to providing emergency medical care is invaluable, and we look forward to supporting your continued efforts.
