Found on Chadbourne Ridge Road, the Elder Grey Meeting House was originally built at the foot of the Ossippee Pond in North Waterboro and served as a Union church with Baptist affiliations. Elder James Grey was one of the early pastors here who served as the spiritual leader until his death in 1856. He was so loved by the congregation that the Meeting House was moved four miles to its current location in 1832 to be nearer to the aging pastor's house. With a decline in the congregation in the 1880s the Meeting House began to fall into disrepair. Local interest in the structure, however, lead to its upkeep and included retaining a summer minister for several years. The one-story building sits on a fieldstone foundation, has a gabled roof, and is sheathed in clapboard siding. The symmetrically spaced facade has two entrances, each with a single four panel door that are flanked by a window. Another window is centrally positioned higher on the gabled end. All three windows are equipped with wooden batten blinds and mounted externally.
