Site Review

MNAP offers environmental site review services for many types of projects. Our review involves examining maps, manual and computerized records, other sources of information such as scientific articles or published references, and the personal knowledge of staff or cooperating experts for information on rare and exemplary botanical features in the project area. Typical reviews include:

  • development projects
  • zoning petitions
  • subdivisions
  • telecommunications facilities
  • DEP permit applications
  • LUPC permit applications
  • NRCS Farm Bill projects
  • forest management plans

To submit review materials, please send a brief cover letter describing the project and a map showing the location of the project via email (maine.nap@maine.gov), regular mail (177 State House Station, Augusta, ME, 04333-0177), or FAX (207-287-7548).

Please note that site review services may be subject to processing fees. Please see our fee structure.
