Edythe Dyer Community Library is seeking a Youth Services Assistant Librarian to support circulation and programming operations.
This position works closely with children and families and requires someone who is comfortable in an active, fast-paced public service environment.
This is part-time position working 12-15 hours a week. The work schedule will include one evening per week and some Saturdays. Availability during school vacations is a requirement. The pay rate for this position is $16/hour.
Duties would include but not limited to:
- Staff the Lending Services desk and provide customer service to Library patrons of all ages
- Assist with planning and supporting youth services programming
- Answer reference and informational questions, and provide readers' advisory services
- Shelve materials and support day-to-day circulation operations
- Take on special assignments at the direction of the Youth Services Librarian

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered
- Prior library experience strongly preferred
