Dyer Library/Saco Museum is seeking a friendly and dependable Assistant Librarian. The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service and technology skills, and the ability to contextualize daily responsibilities within the larger scope of the organization's mission and services. This person will function as part of a collaborative and inclusive team and at times take lead at the adult services desk. This position will work primarily with adults but must be comfortable with all departments including youth and museum visitors.

A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is required. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and applicable work experience may be substituted. Experience in Sierra library software is highly desirable.

This position is for 25 hours per week. At this time, the anticipated schedule is Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-2, Friday 9-5, and alternating Mondays and Saturdays 9-2. Evening hours may be included as needed. The compensation starting range is from $22.55-$23.35 per hour, with an anticipated COLA increase July 1, 2026. Pro-rated time off and holiday pay are included as part of the position, as well as eligibility for a retirement plan.
