Description:

Our AmeriCorps Field Teams are serving at state parks and public lands across the state of Maine! They would love to have volunteers help with trail work and learn about the work being done. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills or share your own!

City of Portland Trails: Established trails at Riverton Trolley Park were destroyed during a forestry harvest project, and the team will be re-establishing and improving the trails. Help the team to restore the area, and provide safe walking areas for the community to enjoy!

  • Tuesday, Oct. 23 - Friday, Oct. 26

What to bring:

  • Day Pack
  • Snacks/food and plenty of water
  • Wear work clothes, long pants, and sturdy boots - NO tennis shoes, trail shoes, or sandals
  • Bring work gloves, bug spray, sunscreen, sunglasses, and rain gear

Volunteers under 18 years old will need a parent or guardian to sign their Volunteer Card. To volunteer without an accompanying adult, volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
