Description of Collection:
Rich collection comprising the personal papers of Maine poet, Wesley McNair. The core collection, received in March 2006, contains materials dated 1941-present, and includes materials from McNair's early life as well as his college and professional years. Includes scrapbooks, photographs, family letters, clippings and ephemera, early writings, notebooks, manuscript drafts, first appearances, and audio/visual recordings, extensive correspondence with Maine Times colleagues, Donald Hall, and literary peers.
- Circulation/Access Policy:
- Some series restricted and require prior permission to access from Wesley McNair. Materials to be used during regular hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 10am-noon and 1-4:30pm. Appointments encouraged.
