Author of Book on America’s First Ladies to Speak at State Library
Augusta - While historians and political pundits have spent countless hours researching and debating the qualities that make for a good president, award-winning producer and author Andrew Och has focused his attention to the better halves of our nation’s most distinguished power couples.
Och, known in Beltway circles as the “First Ladies Man,” will return to the Maine State Library later this month to talk about his latest book, Unusual for Their Time: On the Road with America’s First Ladies Volume Two, and offer insight into the public and private lives of America’s first ladies.
“These are arguably the most influential and powerful unelected women in the world,” said Och. “Their lives before, during and after the White House are fascinating, and their contributions and impact on our country and the modern world are almost immeasurable.”
The program will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 28 at the Maine State Library in Augusta. There is no cost to attend and the public is welcome. For more information call 207-287-5620.
