Low Bus Bids July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025 [Excel]
The low bus bids are based on capacity, fuel and type (A1, A2, C, D). If a bus that is chosen that is not on the list, it will not be approved through the Maine School Bus Purchasing Program. If you add additional features on the school bus, your school will be responsible for the additional charge. Pre-Trip Inspection Sheet PDF
Attached you will find an inspection sheet for pre-trip on school buses. Chapter 81 School Transportation Safety states the following:
SECTION 7. DAILY INSPECTIONS FOR SCHOOL BUS SAFETY
1. Pre- and post-trip inspections
- A. School bus drivers shall perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- B. Drivers shall promptly report defects or deficiencies that have potential to affect the safety of vehicle operation or result in mechanical breakdown. The pre-trip and post trip vehicle inspection reports shall be completed and submitted daily, in writing or by electronic submission, to the district transportation department.
- C. Pre-trip and post-trip inspection records certify that SAUs are daily checking and reporting potential school bus defects and deficiencies.
